Director of Projects

BoxPower is seeking an experienced Director of Projects who will be responsible for managing all BoxPower projects in the US. 

You must be

• A team builder, team leader, and team player
• Capable of overseeing 10+ simultaneous microgrid projects
• Highly competent with OSHA training and best practices for job-site safety
• Familiar with heavy equipment operation and uses
• Comfortable managing multiple subcontractors
• Familiar with investor owned utility contracting processes
• Highly driven and independently motivated
• Flexible and scrappy in a rapidly changing start-up environment
• Passionate about renewable energy

Duties

• Oversee a team of project managers and engineers throughout project execution phases
• Track budget and schedule of all projects
• Dictate bidding and contracting 
• Support sales on proposal development
• Provide strategic support with partner relationships with manufactures, vendors and contractors
• Managing team hiring needs, staffing projections, outsourcing, and subcontracting strategies
• Project contract review and risk management

Experience/Skills

• 10 years of project management experience
  • Utility/enterprise construction project management
• Renewable energy and/or electrical contracting
• Civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering experience
• Time management and planning skills
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Google Apps
• Proficiency in Netsuite 
• Energy industry experience 
• Proficient in English 

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in related field 
• Contractor License electrical or general (Preferred)

Location

• Grass Valley, CA

Compensation

• $90 to $150k/year depending on experience
• Salary + stock options
