Electrical and Production Fabricator

BoxPower is seeking a motivated electrical and production apprentice who will assist in the assembly and fabrication of BoxPower products.

You must be

  • Highly driven and independently motivated
  • Passionate about renewable energy
  • Comfortable in a warehouse setting, working with multiple trades
  • A flexible and eager team member in a rapidly changing start-up environment

Duties

  • Electrical work: Hanging equipment and various other components
  • Pulling and terminating various wire sizes
  • Work with electrician to commission our systems
  • Steel work: pipe and tube cutting, drilling and clean up
  • Assist with the modifications of shipping containers, prepping, painting, and clean up
  • Help keep the warehouse & supply room organized
  • Receive deliveries

Experience/Skills

  • Electrical
  • Steel fabrication
  • Engine Work
  • Battery, controls, communication (Preferred)
  • Microgrid or renewable energy history (Preferred)
  • Plasma, Welding, Grinding use (Preferred)
  • Creativity
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and assist others with heavier lifting
  • Time management, problem solving and planning skills
  • Communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Apps (Preferred)
  • Willing to travel (Preferred)

  • Grass Valley

 

Compensation

  • $15 to $20 per hour depending on experience
  • Hourly + stock options
