With a robust career in electrical engineering and project management, Josh Gatlin is a highly skilled engineering leader with expertise in high-voltage and low-voltage systems, commercial and industrial electrical design, and power systems studies. Currently serving as the Director of
Engineering at BoxPower, Josh Gatlin leads an innovative team to deliver sustainable and reliable energy solutions. Prior to joining BoxPower, Josh Gatlin served as Senior Electrical Engineering Manager at Tetra Tech, managing large-scale solid-waste engineering projects, specializing in electrical design, power systems, and project coordination. Josh also spent six years as Senior Program Manager at Core States Group, overseeing program management, energy systems, and team leadership, while supporting energy solutions across various industries. Josh also led the power systems studies and handled key contract negotiations, business development, and quality control efforts. Prior to Core State, Josh began worked at Benchmark Group, Inc., as an Electrical Engineer and Electrical Designer, working on conceptual electrical designs, energy analysis, and power generation. Josh also honed his expertise in electrical systems while at Shermco Industries, where he performed field engineering, critical power quality monitoring, protection and controls, grounding analysis, and Industrial system upgrades. Josh’s career began in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Fire Control Technician Supervisor on the USS-Columbus SSN-762 submarine, gaining invaluable experience in managing complex control systems, leadership, and technical operations. This background laid the foundation for his future success in engineering and project management. With a unique combination of military experience, technical proficiency, and leadership, Josh is dedicated to advancing energy solutions, guiding teams, and driving innovative projects in the ever-evolving engineering field.
