Alex Killam is an electrical engineer with a broad background in renewable energy, particularly photovoltaics (PV). Alex received his master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, focusing on PV module and system characterization. Prior to his graduate studies, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University in electronic engineering. Alex has worked in various sectors, such as A&E firms specializing in cleanroom and high-tech lab design for semiconductor processing and research. Upon completing his PhD, Alex transitioned to the solar industry where he held diverse roles in O&M, C&I designs, repowering, BIPV, Agrivoltaics, module manufacturing, and microgrid designs for extreme climates. Outside of his professional pursuits, Alex merges his passion for electronics with hobbies like gardening and carpentry.
