Sanya joins BoxPower’s project management team from her previous role as Director of the Clinton Climate Initiative’s Islands Energy Program where she supported Caribbean islands to transition to renewable and resilient energy primarily through the implementation of solar and storage microgrids. Previously, Sanya worked on the O&M team at Sunrun and prior to that, in non-profits dedicated to designing and disseminating clean cookstoves to combat issues of indoor air pollution and deforestation. Sanya has a B.A. in Architecture from the University of California Berkeley and a M.S. in Sustainable Energy System Management from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Outside of work, Sanya enjoys cycling, traveling and spending time with her baby daughter.
