MiniBox Product Details
The SolarContainer line is our most versatile microgrid solution, ideal for utility-owned remote grids, critical facilities backup, and commercial applications. Its counterpart, the MiniBox, is a clean and cost-effective alternative to traditional diesel generators for telecommunications and small off-grid or grid-tied applications. Both product lines are rapidly deployable with easy PV racking hardware, pre-wired outlets, and permit-ready designs. All BoxPower systems can operate as a permanent off-grid energy supply or grid-tied for emergency backup and peak shaving.
We begin each microgrid project with a consultation to better understand your priorities – whether that be decarbonization, cost-effectiveness, reliability, or some combination of all three.
We start by using our proprietary Energy Audit and Systems Integration (EASI) software to take a detailed account of your current and/or planned energy usage. Our engineers will build several optimized microgrid design options, all configured from BoxPower’s modular SolarContainer or MiniBox base products.
At this stage, the BoxPower team can integrate add-ons from our catalog of optional features. Typical add-ons include a backup generator, an auxiliary ground-mounted or rooftop solar array, fire suppression, and advanced venting and climate control capabilities.
Ready to configure your solar microgrid solution?
Our team will present your microgrid designs along with a financial analysis of projected savings and a carbon emissions profile for each option. Once you select your optimized microgrid, the BoxPower team fabricates your energy container and delivers it as a rapidly deployable plug-and-play solution.
BoxPower’s modularity allows for easy, fast, and cost-effective scaling up. Your BoxPower microgrid specifications can be readily scaled or replicated for subsequent projects as your energy needs grow.
At the same time, the containerized nature of BoxPower’s product line allows for easier permitting and installation compared to a traditional solar array. Additionally, our containerized energy storage systems occupy a small physical footprint and are rugged enough to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
BoxPower’s flexible, customizable, and scalable solar microgrids are well-suited for a wide range of use cases. Their transportability and lack of reliance on a centralized grid make our microgrid in a box solutions ideal for rural energy generation. Learn more about BoxPower products here.
